St. Joseph Bereavement Support

Are you grieving the loss of a loved one? You don’t have to do it alone!

When we lose a loved one by death, we are wounded. Just as a wound does, we need to heal from within, to express our thoughts and feelings. Knowing this will not lessen your grief, but it may help your healing to begin. Our support group is a safe haven where we can talk, cry, share our anger, guilt, and fears with those who understand and care.

This is a peer ministry, not a therapy group. You are invited to share if you feel comfortable to do so. We ask that all respect CONFIDENTIALITY of our sharing. Anyone dealing with the grief and issues surrounding the loss of a loved one is most welcome.

The Bereavement Support Group meets the last Sunday of each month immediately following the 9:00am mass.  Contact Betty Hutchings for more information.

Communion for the Sick and Homebound

If you or someone you know is unable to attend Mass or is hospitalized, please contact the parish office (916) 665-1132, and we will arrange visitation by an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion.
